Fr. Al's Museum...

...is simple and portrays his life in pictures, from his childhood to priesthood, his mission which started in the Land of the Morning Calm (Korea), his footsteps in the Pearl of the Orient Sea (the Philippines), and the challenging decision of opening his Boystown and Girlstown programs, at the time when his health was deteriorating, in Mexico - his unfinished symphony.
The museum exhibit concludes with the opening and closing ceremonies of the Archdiocesan Process for the Causes of the Beatification and Canonization of Fr. Al. From the humble beginning of Al Schwartz' desire to give himself to God by being a servant of the poor, through his different charity programs, until now when the Church recognizes him as a Servant of God.
Fr. Al's memorabilia includes his priestly vestments, liturgical vessels and personal items.
The miniature of his "poorhouse" shows his love for poverty, his traveling bags speak of his missionary life, and the voice tapes, which contained his homilies and meditations, are the precious memorabilia that keep us closer to his prayerful spirit, which sustained him throughout his life.
From his ordination, he never once missed celebrating Mass, even when he was confined to a wheelchair due to his debilitating sickness. It was only a day before he died that he was unable to do so.
The museum is open daily to the public.
